Fort Lauderdale

That's where my Dad, his friend & I are.
We sailed out of Miami port to the ocean side & skipped a dozen bridges- my plan since hitting all of those bridges on the way down (38 in 2 days!).
I saw flying fish today and a stingray twice the size of a garbage can lid which jumped completely out of the water about 20 feet from the boat.
Tomorrow we will go back outside in the Atlantic & shoot for Fort Pierce.

  2. Pinkie is ready for another meet and will bring her own handcuff key. She thinks she has a buyer. She also said she learned some new knots she will teach you that should come in handy on a boat. She wants to know if you told anyone about the goat locker and the still.

Did you get the package from Bogota? There was news from Honduras but it got interupted with the little change in goverment. I had nothing to do with that, contrary to popular opinion. I didn't do it.I was not involved. I was not even there. No one saw me do it. You can't prove anything! That's my story and I am sticking to it!

The "Czech" finally checked in. Another successful event and encounter accomplished, along with a few interesting stories to be told (and never discussed) maybe after a few jars.

  3. Mikey,
Dude!!! Word!!! THUNDERBOOMER!!! You gotta be prepared for them and count on them showing up every afternoon in this area. They may or maynot show up but you got to plan for them and around them anyway.
Be careful of the thunderboomers. They usually come in the afternoon say between 3-6 PM. THEY CAN HIT ANYTIME THOUGH! The hot air and seabreeze mixing, breeds them. Plan your window accordingly. Give yourself a safety margin of say two hours either way! Again you may or may not get them but you have to plan for them

I have been caught in at least one microburst on the water. Talk about a REAL E-TICKET Ride! Disney ain't got didly on that! And BLEEP NO, I would not want to through it again! I am still not sure how long it lasted or how I survived! There but the the Grace of God and no doubt my Guardian Angels were working overtime! I am sure it was not as long as it seemed. I am just glad it did finally ended and I KNEW I was alive and went through something not everyone can claim. Not that many would want to. I will tell you about it when you stop by for the ribeye's, shrimp, some taters, and cold refreshing adult beverages.
Glad you and Sunrunner are doing well! Give us a call/email us when you can.
    Sam

  4. Knee is doing very well, but I cannot get in the pool water..needless to say NO water that isn't sterile. Don't want to little a very small incision that hasn't quite healed yet, set me back. Another week, with more antibiotics and I'll be good to go. It's gone great Mike, piece o'cake.

stay safe and enjoy your return ride to the fullest!
